HUSD was a big client for the agency and they wanted to get an email out to parents that addressed COVID-19. A big thing that they wanted to get across is that Higley is there for its family so I accomplished that by being using language that showed sympathy to the situation and giving some tips that might ease the burden of homeschooling.

Hello Higley parents,
The COVID-19 outbreak has become one of the hardest things we’ve had to deal with as a community, and the only way we are going to get through it is by going through it together. We know how important your child’s education is to you, and we understand that the new transition to homeschooling is difficult, so we have a few tips that could help:
-Don’t pressure yourself to replicate their normal school day, it’s not feasible for every household to have an eight-hour school schedule at home
-Try to give your kids a routine and schedule to follow every day that includes both teaching and household/family tasks such as cleaning and lunch.
-If you do not know a subject, think of it as an opportunity for a personal learning experience! There are many online resources like Khan Academy or CoronavirusHomeschooling.com that can help you get a better understanding of the subject material.
Check out our website to get updates on school closure, our online learning platform and meal services. We are doing everything we can to help our Higley family, and we are certain that this experience will help us all Grow, Learn, and Lead!
